How to be a Volunteer

Do you want to help, but can’t foster, and don’t have the money to donate? Then VOLUNTEER! We always need dedicated and hard-working volunteers to handle dogs at events, participate in our “foster buddy” program, or help in a variety of other ways. Email us at if you have any questions

Youth Volunteer (Ages 2-17)

Do you love animals? Do you want to be part of something special and fun? Well, Rottie Hearts has a place for you that lets you help others, and also helps to save Rottweilers. Even though RHR volunteers need to be 18 years or older to actually handle the dogs, we have plenty of other things that can be done by you, our younger volunteers! If you love animals and want to help, here is your chance! Complete the RHR Youth Volunteer Application, have your parent or legal guardian complete their part, then send it to us at:

Volunteer: Just like our fosters, we could not do everything that we do without our dedicated and hard-working volunteers. There are many ways to help out other than fostering (handling dogs at events, taking pictures) and even things that can be done from home (mailings, newsletter, application processing). We are always looking for more help, so if you are interested we would love to hear from you.

Once we get your completed application, the RHR Volunteer Committee will process it. Meanwhile, a Rottie Hearts member will try to match up your goals and skill set to the right area so you'll have fun while helping to save a life.
